Amazing Race

The Mount Juliet Amazing Race is an annual event held by Grace & Glory that started in 2013 to provide a unique and fun activity for the Mount Juliet community, while raising money for the children of Haiti.

Loosely based on the competition-based reality television show, this event incorporates a series of clues and challenges, which take its participants on a fast-paced trek through Mount Juliet. Participants stop at businesses and organizations throughout the community who have generously sponsored the event – starting with Providence United Methodist Church, a long-time sponsor and partner of Grace & Glory.

Here’s what our founder, Tanna Clark, has to say about the event: “The race started as a fun event put on by a few friends for a great cause, but turned into a truly amazing community event that brings people and businesses together in a fun, exhilarating way. Throughout the years we have put on the event, the funds raised have helped provide meals, build school furniture, and provide needed supplies for the school located in the Mountrouis Region in Haiti.”

Each year the theme of the event changes and the level of community support grows. Some of the previous year’s themes have been “Racing Through the Decades”, “Chicken and the Egg”, “A tribute to Haiti”, and “Back to the 90’s”.

As the tenth anniversary of the event approaches in 2023, Grace & Glory anticipates the biggest event yet with a possible second event in Washington D.C. Stay tuned for more information regarding this event that you won’t want to miss!
